Miley Cyrus received a very warm welcome on a recent trip to Paris, France. As she left her hotel she was greeted by crowd of screaming fans, but she managed to squeeze through and into a waiting car.

The teenage star, who shot to fame after starring in the hit Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, is in the French capital working on a new movie called LOL: Laughing Out Loud. The actress has also enjoyed a successful music career in recent years, scoring hits with singles like Supergirl, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Rockstar, Goodbye, Party in the U.S.A. and When I Look At You, and there have been rumors that she is due to team up with fellow teen star Demi Lovato on her next album.

Lovato recently wrote on Twitter that they had talked about teaming up. “We talked about doing a duo together” the singer revealed. “She’s one of my best friends and she’s super talented, so I’d love to.”

Destiny Hope Cyrus, better known as Miley Cyrus, is an American actress and pop singer-singer.

Born 23^rd November 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee – the daughter of country music singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus – Destiny Hope initially grew up on a farm in Franklin. She was given the nickname ‘Smiley’ as a child, because of her sunny temperament, and at some point this became Miley. She began singing and performing at a young age along with her siblings, and in 2001 they all moved to Toronto, Canada as her father starred in the television series Doc. Her father’s appearance inspired her to become an actress and she began taking singing and acting classes at the local Armstrong Acting Studio. After appearing in Doc, she landed the minor role of Young Ruthie in Tim Burton’s 2003 film Big Fish.

At the age of eleven Cyrus auditioned for a new Disney Channel series Hannah Montana – about a girl who is an average teenager by day and a famous pop singer by night. Although initially told she was too young for the role, she eventually landed it in 2002 – with the series first airing in 2004. It was an instant hit and propelled her to the status of teen idol. She released the theme song The Best of Both Worlds in March 2006, shortly followed by the full soundtrack in October the same year – which shot straight to number one on the Billboard 200. This was followed by the second soundtrack Hannah Montana 2, packaged as a double album with Cyrus’ solo effort Meet Miley Cyrus, which sold over four million copies worldwide and produced the US Top 30 hits Nobody’s Perfect and Life’s What You Make It.

Cyrus released her second solo studio album Breakout in July 2008. It reached number one on the Billboard 200, selling 1.5 million copies in the US alone, and produced the US Top 10 hit singles 7 Things and See You Again. Following the release of the 2009 EP The Time of Our Lives, the singer’s third studio album Can’t Be Tamed came out in June 2010 and has produced two hit singles to date: Party in the U.S.A. and When I Look At You.
